We are affiliated with the Show Horse Council of Australisia Inc.

A small but dedicated group of Competitors met in 1983 to form the N.S.W. Hack Exhibitors Association, this was in response to a need to provide better opportunities and conditions for those interested specifically in the Showing of horses. This Group became the forerunner of the Show Horse Council as it is today, holding its first Horse Of The Year Show at Penrith in 1984 and held annually ever since, these State Titles have grown into a Two Day Event covering all levels of Competition from Newcomers to Opens.

In 1992 the first Grand National Saddle Horse & Riding Championships were introduced to provide a higher level of Competition than was otherwise available on a National basis. This Invitation Event has since become the benchmark of Shows to qualify for, this year over 300 Horse and Rider Entries will travel vast distances to attend and compete in the Event to be held for the second year in the Indoor Arena at the Olympic Venue, Sydney International Equestrian Centre, Horsley Park.

The Council is a Voluntary Association; it has progressed over the years by providing better services and opportunities for its members. Thanks go to the Delegates and helpers who have given and continue to give so generously of their time.
